Masjid Safety, Security and Facilities Upgrade Project

Alhamdulillah, a number of important infrastructure, safety, and facility improvement projects are currently underway at Gungahlin Mosque. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing the comfort, safety, security, and services available to our growing community.

Gutter Replacement, Stormwater connections, Trenching and Leak fix

Comprehensive works are being undertaken to replace damaged gutters, improve stormwater connections, carry out trenching works, and rectify water leaks around the mosque. These improvements will help prevent water ingress and dripping during periods of heavy rain, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for worshippers and minimising disruptions to Jumu’ah, Taraweeh, and other congregational prayers.

Mosque door locks

To strengthen security and improve access management, all mosque door locks are being replaced and upgraded. This project will provide better access control, improve the protection of mosque assets, and enhance the overall security of the facilities.

Plumbing work for Food truck and demountable

Plumbing infrastructure works are currently in progress to support the operation of the food truck and demountable facilities. The project includes the installation of grease traps, hot and cold-water connections, wastewater drainage systems, and associated plumbing services. These improvements will ensure compliance with operational requirements and support future community activities and food services.

Installation of Security Fence

A security fence is being installed around the mosque perimeter, including designated access gates for authorised entry and exit. This important project will improve site security, enhance the safety of community members, and assist in managing access to mosque facilities and surrounding areas.

Installation of Front gate

A new front entry gate is being installed at Gungahlin Mosque to enhance the security, safety, and accessibility of the premises. The gate will provide improved access control while contributing to a more welcoming and visually appealing entrance for worshippers and visitors.

Development of the Entry gate garden

The mosque entrance is being enhanced through the development of a landscaped garden area. This project aims to create a more welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment for worshippers and visitors while improving the overall appearance of the mosque grounds.

Funeral Service

Works are currently underway to develop and enhance the CMC’s Funeral Service facilities and operations. These improvements are aimed at ensuring that funeral services are delivered with dignity, compassion, and full religious and cultural sensitivity.
