Summary of today's Khutbah
This week’s khutbah will focus on hubb ur-rasul — the love of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Allah ﷻ says:
قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ
“If you love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you” (Qur’an 3:31).
The Prophet ﷺ said:
لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ وَالِدِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
“None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his father, his child, and all of mankind.” (Bukhari, Muslim).
