First Khutbah - 1:00 PM by Imam Seikh Hatem Saad
Summary of today's Khutbah
In times of financial uncertainty, Islam teaches us to seek barakah—the divine blessing that multiplies benefit, peace, and stability in our lives, even when our material means do not increase. Barakah is a gift only Allah can grant, and it transforms ordinary wealth, time, health, and family life into extraordinary sources of goodness.
This reminder outlines seven practical ways to bring barakah into our daily lives:
1. Strengthen Taqwa
Barakah begins with God-consciousness. Allah promises abundant blessings to those who believe and uphold taqwa.
2. Earn Honestly
Truthfulness, fairness, and transparency in work and business bring divine blessing, while dishonesty removes barakah.
3. Connect with the Qur’an
The Qur’an is described as mubārak. Its recitation, study, and reflection fill homes and hearts with peace and divine increase.
4. Work Hard and Start Early
Islam encourages productivity, skill-building, and early mornings—times Allah has placed special barakah in.
5. Maintain Family Ties and Good Character
Kindness to relatives and neighbours increases both lifespan and provision.
6. Follow the Sunnah in Daily Habits
Simple prophetic practices—such as eating together and saying “Bismillah”—invite barakah into everyday life.
7. Ask Allah for Barakah
Du‘ā’ is one of the greatest keys to receiving divine blessing. The Prophet ﷺ regularly asked Allah to bless his provision, his home, and his life.
Through these seven steps, we can increase the quality of our lives—peace, stability, happiness, and spiritual growth—even if the quantity remains unchanged.
May Allah grant us living hearts that are humble, pure, and filled with His light.
