This week’s khutbah continues our journey through the remarkable women and girls around the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, highlighting examples of faith, knowledge, courage, generosity, service and responsibility.
Through women such as Khawlah bint Tha‘labah, Barirah, Zaynab bint Jahsh, Umm Kulthum bint ‘Uqbah, Umm Waraqah, Umm Khalid and Hind bint ‘Utbah, we see how the Prophetic community nurtured women who understood their faith, knew their rights, served others, spoke with wisdom and contributed confidently to society.
The khutbah calls on parents, educators and Islamic institutions to raise girls who are strong in faith, rich in knowledge, confident in character and prepared to make a positive contribution to their families and communities.
