Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: Building People and Leaders (Part 2) - by Imam Hatem Saad

First Khutbah
Summary of today's Khutbah

This khutbah continues our reflection on how Prophet Muhammad ﷺ recognised the unique strengths of his Companions and developed them into people of knowledge, responsibility, courage, and service.

Tomorrow, we will focus on six further examples: Abu ‘Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah, the Qur’an specialists among the Companions, ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas, Abu Hurayrah, Anas ibn Malik, and Hassan ibn Thabit رضي الله عنهم.

Through their stories, we will explore lessons in trust and responsibility, specialisation, developing young talent, strengthening memory and knowledge, compassionate mentoring, and using communication and media skills in the service of Islam.

The central message is: great leadership is not about making everyone the same; it is about recognising people’s strengths, developing their abilities, and placing them where they can benefit the Ummah most.
