First Khutbah - 8:00 AM by Guest Imam Basil Harun
Topic: Discipline – A Lesson from the Life of Ibrahim عليه السلام
This khutbah reminded us that Ibrahim عليه السلام, the Friend of Allah, showed us what true submission looks like — through unwavering discipline, trust, and sacrifice.
His legacy teaches us to choose faith over desire, and obedience over convenience.
We were reminded:
Discipline your prayers, your tongue, your time, and your desires — before they lead you astray.
On this blessed day, let us live with sincerity, remember the struggling, and honour the path of the Friend of Allah.
Eid Mubarak! May Allah accept from us and keep us firm upon His path.
Second Khutbah - 9:30 AM by Imam Hatem Saad
Topic: The Rights of a Muslim Upon Another Muslim
This Eid al-Adha khutbah reminds us of the powerful teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) about how Muslims should treat one another. Among these rights are:
- Greeting each other with peace
- Accepting invitations
- Giving sincere advice
- Visiting the sick
- Attending funerals
- Saying kind words when someone sneezes
The khutbah also highlights the importance of not harming others, supporting those in need, covering each other’s faults, and never looking down on anyone.
It calls us to forgive, reconnect, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood in Islam—especially on this blessed day.
Eid Mubarak! May Allah accept our good deeds and unite our hearts.
