I'tikaf is a worshiping event that is arranged at Gungahlin Mosque only once a year and it lasts for upto ten days. Therefore, let everyone of us do their best to make it a nice and convenient experience for every worshiper.
The arrangements listed below have been made in a way in order to maximize the utilization of the existing facilities with the minimum efforts to be contributed from the participants during I'tikaf. The setup of mosque's facilities is as follows:
Main Men Hall: The main use of this facility during I'tikaf period is for worshipping activities, such as prayer, reading quran, dars and religious discussions. Strictly no food consumption or sleeping is allowed inside this facility.
Outside Prayer and Marquee Area:
These facilities will be used for overflow prayers during prayer time. Iftar and dinner will be served in these facilities for both men and women with a separator partitioner. Suhur will be served in this facility only for men.
Upstairs Women Hall: This facility is dedicated only for women to offer all their activities during I'tikaf time except having Iftar, which will be served in the Marquee area for women. Suhur will be served in this facility for women.
Classrooms: The main use of this facility during I'tikaf period is for men sleeping and relaxing activities. Strictly no food consumption is allowed inside this facility.
